AL WOTHQA LEGAL CONSULTANCY
Preparing for a legal consultation
A little preparation helps make your first conversation more useful.
Write a short timeline
List the key events in date order. Separate facts you can document from points that still need confirmation. Include any notices, scheduled hearings or response dates so they can be assessed promptly.
Collect the core documents
Start with signed agreements, relevant correspondence and payment records. Keep original files and identify which version of a document was signed. Ask the office how to share sensitive materials before sending them.
Define the question
Explain the decision you need to make and what you hope to achieve. Ask about the proposed scope, fees, documents still needed and likely next steps. An initial conversation does not itself confirm acceptance of the matter.
